Jennifer Graham started out selling old fashioned cake stands at craft markets around Victoria. Thinking it might improve sales, she made a few cupcakes to display on the stands and before she knew it people were coming to buy the cupcakes as well as the stands!

After only six weeks she found herself in the cupcake business and the Crabapple Cupcake Bakery was born. Jennifer‘s vision was to create the world’s most beautiful cupcakes. Her entire family became involved, Jennifer baked and decorated all the cupcakes at home, her husband John quit his job and began making the beautiful tiered cupcake stands used in the bakery and their three daughters Natalie, Hayley and Laura became creative cupcake decorators. Hayley who was only 14 at the time, designed the Crabapple signature swirl that the bakery is now famous for.

The business grew quickly as word spread and a shop was opened in Tecoma in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges just east of Melbourne. In May 2006 the Crabapple Cupcake Bakery became a company and moved to larger premises in Ferntree Gully, where it supplies cakes and cupcakes for all occasions, birthdays, corporate functions and weddings. Crabapple now supplies cupcakes to many cafes around Victoria. A recent addition to the business is an extensive range of decorating supplies.
